Typically, if you order before noon, we can deliver the dumpster that same day, after 12:00 it will be delivered the next business day, we delivery Monday to Saturday.

Does the roll-off container have a door that opens?

Yes all roll-off bins and containers have a door that swings open, it’s the first end that comes off the truck and the door swings open from left to right. The door is hinged on the right side and can be latched to the outside of the container for loading and must be closed shut when finished loading and we pick up the container.

Can you place the roll-off bin on the street?

You must first check with the City that you live in for permission, some municipalities require a street permit in order to place the container on a public street, in most cases it’s fine as long as there is amply parking and no issues with your neighbors, typically citizen complaints are what initiate by-law inquires, so be good to your neighbors!

How high can I load the roll-off bin?

You can load the roll-off bin to the ‘level load’ marker, materials must be level at the top of the container, no overloading! It cannot be heaping up over the center and you cannot have material sticking over the top. Overloaded containers cannot be hauled, all materials must be covered with a canvas tarp for safety purposes during transportation. The following image is how NOT to load a bin:

Do roll-off containers come with covers?

No, roll-off bins are open top containers which means they do not come equipped with a lid or cover, upon pick up the waste materials are covered using a tarp system on the truck so that garbage doesn’t blow away while in transit to the landfill, it’s required by law.

Service Charges

The Garbage Good Guys Inc. is committed to providing high quality service to our customers. We strive to contain our costs; however, we are unable to control fuel and other petrochemical costs and environmental expenses. The Fuel Recovery Fee and Environmental Recovery Fee are charges to recover these costs and achieve an acceptable operating margin. The two separate fees appear as a single invoice line item called "Fuel Recovery Fee and Environmental Recovery Fee".

Why am I charged a Fuel Recovery Fee?

There are fuel and other petrochemical costs (oil, lubricants, etc.) associated with The Garbage Good Guys Inc. and its affiliates’ collection, transfer, landfill and material recovery facilities nationwide. The Fuel Recovery Fee is a charge to recover these costs and achieve an acceptable operating margin. By separating fuel related costs into a separate line item, we are better able to isolate fluctuations that may occur in fuel prices. As the cost of fuel increases during inflationary periods, the FRF charge, and therefore overall invoice costs, will increase. When fuel prices drop, the FRF charge, and therefore overall invoice costs, will decrease.

How often will the Environmental Recovery Fee change?

The Environmental Recovery fee does not fluctuate on a monthly basis. This fee may change at the discretion of The Garbage Good Guys Inc.

When was the last time you increased the Environmental Recovery Fee?

The Environmental Recovery Fee increased to 12% effective with invoices printed on December 20, 2015.

Are there plans to increase the Fuel Recovery Fee or Environmental Recovery Fee?

We periodically review the fees to determine whether they are appropriately recovering The Garbage Good Guys Inc. and its affiliates’ nationwide costs and contributing to an acceptable operating margin. We adjust the fees as necessary. If there were to be any change to either fee, you would be notified through your billing statement. Your Service Agreement may require your consent to these fees; under such Service Agreements, your payment of the fees provides your consent.

Why do you charge an Administrative Fee?

There are costs associated with generating invoices and administering accounts, such as printing and mailing invoices, cash processing, credit/debit card transactions fees and account maintenance. The Administrative Fee allows us to recover these costs and achieve an acceptable operating margin. Also, by isolating these charges on the billing statement, our customers can be better informed.

When was the last time you increased the Administrative Fee?

The Administrative Fee increased to $5.25 with invoices printed on December 20, 2015. Before that, the fee last adjusted in September 2009.

Are there plans to increase the Administrative Fee in the future?

We periodically review the fee to determine whether it is appropriately recovering The Garbage Good Guys Inc. and its affiliates’ costs and contributing to an acceptable operating margin. We adjust the Administrative Fee as necessary. If there were to be any change to the fee, you would be notified through your billing statement. Your Service Agreement may require your consent to this fee; under such service agreements, your payment of the fee provides your consent.

What is the fuel recovery fee?

The Fuel Recovery Fee will be updated each month. The diesel rate used to determine the Fuel Recovery Fee charged will be the peak weekly-published price per gallon, published on any day in the 30 day period ending on the 15th of that month, as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration website “On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices” index. The Fuel Recovery Fee will be determined by cross-referencing this price to The Garbage Good Guys Inc. Fuel Recovery Fee Table. For example, if the peak diesel price per gallon for the 30 day review period was $3.95, based on the Fuel Recovery Fee Table, the fuel component of the charge on this month’s invoice would be 19.92% of your invoice amount, excluding tax, and this rate will apply for the entire period covered by your invoice.

The Fuel Recovery Fee charged on your invoice is not associated with any explicit, direct or indirect cost to service your account. The fee is based on the overall cost of fuel and other petrochemical expenses incurred by The Garbage Good Guys Inc. and its affiliates on a nationwide basis and is designed to achieve an acceptable operating margin. This includes both direct and indirect fuel and petrochemical costs associated with collection, transfer, landfill and material recovery facilities.

What is the administrative fee?

The Garbage Good Guys Inc. is committed to providing high quality service to its customers. We are constantly working to provide exceptional service at an economical price. The Administrative Fee is established at $5.25 per invoice. There are costs associated with the administrative processes of billing, payment processing and account maintenance for The Garbage Good Guys Inc. and its affiliates, and those costs have increased over time. We have an Administrative Fee in place to recover these costs and achieve an acceptable operating margin. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you and the community. If you have additional questions, please contact customer service at the telephone number listed on your invoice.

How is the Fuel Recovery Fee & Environmental Recovery Fee Calculated?

The Fuel Recovery Fee and Environmental Recovery Fee is charged to a customer’s invoice in the following manner:

  1. The Fuel Recovery Fee is applied to the total standard invoice charges, including the Administrative Fee excluding tax.
  2. The Environmental Recovery Fee is then applied to the total standard charges, including the Fuel Recovery Fee and Administrative Fee, excluding tax.

Are these fees government taxes?

The Fuel Recovery Fee and the Environmental Recovery Fee are not taxes, surcharges or fees mandated/imposed by or remitted to any governmental or regulatory agency. As noted above, the fees are The Garbage Good Guys’ charges to recover our companies costs on a nationwide basis and achieve an acceptable operating margin. The Fuel Recovery Fee or the Environmental Recovery Fee may be changed at the discretion of The Garbage Good Guys. Your service agreement may require your consent to these fees; under such service Agreements, your payment of the fees provides your consent.
